The Course attempts to equip the students with the knowledge of the basic principles of Entrepreneurship & Innovation. The course also aims to acquaint the students with the challenges and functionalities of starting a new business venture

Definition, features, types, Entrepreneur vs. Manager. Creativity and innovation – Stimulating creativity, organizational actions that enhance/hinder creativity, managerial responsibilities, sources of innovation in business.
Business Plan - Concept, Characteristics, Process.

Starting the New Enterprise

Generating Business Idea, Sources of New Idea, Methods of generating Ideas, creative problem solving, opportunity recognition, environment scanning, competitor and Industry analysis.
Feasibility Planning – Concept, Four stages of Growth model, Fundamentals of feasibility plan, The feasibility Plan.

Marketing Research for New Enterprise

Marketing plan, Marketing research in the pre-start-up phase, Steps in preparing marketing plan, competitive Analysis:- Research after start-up.
Organizational Plan – Forms of ownership, designing organization structure, job design, manpower planning.

Financial Resources and Planning

Asset management, Equity financing, cash budget, Working capital, Performa Income statement, Performa cash flow, Performa balance sheet, Break-Even-Analysis
